Child Psychology:

Child Psychology Services

Child Psychology is a very general term used to describe psychology services delivered to children. The term is sometimes used to describe psychological therapy services provided to children, while it is also sometimes used to describe child assessment services such as assessments of learning problems, etc. Our practice provides both of these broad child psychology services.

Two of the psychologists in our practice (Peter Allen & Amanda Genetti) have training and experience in working with both children.

Another psychologist (Brenda Belzycki) provides child psychometric assessment services, such as IQ assessments, the assessment of learning difficulties, other child psychometric testing etc. For more details on our child psychology assessment services click here).

All of our psychologists who provide child psychology services have postgraduate training in clinical and/or educational psychology.

Because our child psychology (therapy) providers are accredited specialists with Medicare you may receive a $115.05 rebate per consultation from Medicare for child therapy consultations. (This is up to 12 visits per calendar year with an approprate referral from a GP, pediatrician or psychiatrist. Some other conditions apply. See our Fees & Medicare page).
