Clinical Psychologist & Psychologist Qualifications
All psychologists in our practice have undergone the basic training to become a psychologist plus a Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (i.e. at least an additional 2 years of full-time postgraduate University training in Clinical Psychology). These two years of postgraduate study involve additional specialist training and internships in a variety of clinical settings..
All Psychologists in our practice are either accredited Clinical Psychology specialist providers with Medicare or fully registered psychologists wiho are Clinical Psychology Registrars with accreditation with Medicare for Focussed Psychological interventions. People who consult a Clinical Psychology specialist providersr under Medicare are usually eligible for the higher specialist consultation Medicare Rebate.
All psychologists in our practice have training and experience in the use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which has been shown by controlled trials to be the treatment of choice for a range of psychological problems.
Appointments with a Medicare accredited Clinical Psychologist qualify for rebates of up to $117.05 per 50 minute consultation for those with appropriate referrals. See "Fees & Medicare" section.
