Research suggests that well over 50% of children & adults with Aspergers  Syndrome also suffer from anxiety or depressive disorders. Anger control problems also appear to be widespread.

We provide individual intervention for children with Autism or Aspergers who exhibit behavioural difficulies.

We also provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults with anger problems, anxiety problems (eg. panic, OCD, generalised anxiety), depression, and other psychological conditions which they experience in addition to Aspergers Disorder.

We do not provide comprehensive diagnostic services for Autism at present.

Group Therapy Programs - Feedback Requested for Planning Purposes

We are hoping to run some group programs at our Blacktown office for adolescents and adults with Aspergers Syndrome. The groups would be run at our Blacktown office. In order to help with planning we would appreciate feedback from people about the types of groups that there would be a demand for. Social Skills Training for people with Aspergers and Autism

Anger Management for people with Aspergers and Autism

Anxiety Management for people with Aspergers and Autism

Depression for people with Aspergers and Autism

Groups would run for around 1 hour. The full rate would be $60 per session with a Medicare rebate of around $30 per session for those referred under a mental health care plan or through a paediatrician or psychiatrist. For those on Health Care Cards the fee would be $40 per visit plus the $30 rebate where relevant. (i.e. there would be a gap after Medicare of around $30 per visit for the normal rate and $10 per visit for those with Health Care Cards).

Please note that you are potentially eligible for 12 rebated visits of group therapy IN ADDITION TO 12 rebatable individual therapy sessions under Medicare with appropriate referrals for each.
